17:00 Concert - Adufeiras do Paul

BIO.

From an early age that sound was part of my daily experience, having found permanent stimulus and support in the family household.

At 12 years-old at the Military Academy I started a musical journey as a life project, a way of expressing emotions, feelings and create sensations. Since then the guitar and the voice have been my inseparable companion of adventures and misadventures. In 2012, the fruit of musical maturity and the immense passion for music, I did my first original album “No Silêncio dos teus olhos” (In the silence of your eyes), a Rock album of various influences such as Funk, Swing and Jazz. That same year I fell in love with the earthly and hypnotic sound of the Didgeridoo. What was initially interpreted as a necessity of exploration of sounds in terms of musical fusion, quickly became a way of life, culminating in 2013 with the opening of the School of Didgeridoo – Didge Creature. That same year I started a separate musical cycle with the project “Vertigem Sonora” (Sounds of the World) and later with the project “Turquesa Relaxing Moments” in the context of meditative/relaxation concerts.

22:15 Concert - Jyoshna & Kavita

Jyoshna fell in love with music at the age of two, when she heart Moonlight Sonata played by a pianist on the boat from England and Australia. From then on, music has been Jyoshna’s passion.

Her other passion is ethnomusicology and in 2010 Dr. Jyoshna  La Trobe completed her PhD in Music at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London on “Marai Kirtan and the Performance of Ecstasy in the Purulia District of West Bengal, India”. Jyoshna’s research focuses on the ‘praise music of West Bengal (Rarh), India, as well as Maori and indigenous people’s music. She also has her own Collection of audio visual material housed at the World Music Archives, British Library (C1211).

An original composer, Jyoshna has authored many original albums including ‘Magnificence’ (2001) and ‘Unity Hours I and II’ (2010) as well as ethnographic material such as ‘Red Earth Song’. Recently Jyoshna composed music for the New Zealand feature film ‘Stars in Her Eyes’,(Dir. by Athina Tsoulis), completed a new album called ‘DharmaCakra’, Sanskrit songs for Meditation and one for charity called Avarta Kirtan live. Jyoshna is presently in London, working on new music projects with the group The New Dawn, Sunrise Education Trust and updating her collection of audio visual material on Rarh Music Culture at the British Library World Music Archives.

Crossing borders between genres, his sound weaves the rhythms and tonalities of electronic dance and world fusion in a broad range of tempos. A progressive, eclectic sonic journey to a deeper place of connection.

10:00 Workshop 7 - Bio Energy Dance

Bio Energy Dance – Meline

BIO comes from the Greek and means VIE

ENERGY comes from the Greek ENERGEIA and means FORCE IN ACTION

BIO ENERGY therefore means FORCE OF LIFE IN ACTION.

By awakening the consciousness of our body through an organic approach, the bio energy dance allows us to release the energies and emotional tensions blocked in a wrong body pattern.

Thanks to the approach to the notions of breathing, axis, center and opening to the inside / outside listening, we will be able to read our body posture and re-align it to allow the energy of life to find Free circulation through our main energy centers.

The feeling of our cells thus animated, will allow us to live a vibrant body, inhabited by the movement of life, thus allowing free rein to the expression of our spontaneous personality and the freedom of our child’s body.

We become aware that through this in-depth work, we take charge of ourself, become autonomous and responsible for our health and well-being.

By becoming “channel” of this life energy we connect with our body unity Body- Heart – Spirit, and we feel more in harmony with the nature and our deepest being.

Content of the workshop

Breathing and energy postures, rooting, organic movements.

Consciousness of the sacro-occipital axis, of the center and of the interior / exterior listening

Approach to techniques Moshe Feldenkrais , Alexander Lowen and Wutao.

Slow and conscious steps.

Sensory experiments, awareness of space and group, interior landscapes and improvisations.

Meditation and integration.

10:00 Workshop 8 - TBD
11:30 Workshop 9 - Didgeridoo

Didgeridoo workshop (Beginner and Intermediate) – Miguel Maat

Considered the oldest instrument in the world, it is assumed to have been first used to communicate between tribes, and the traditional instruments called Yadaki, been introduced in ritual ceremonies, since time immemorial, by the Yolngul people. In the  70’s, the instrument entered the borders of Australia, having giving rise to a new trend of musical approaches.

It is a wind instrument with a single base note, enriched by the exploration of several sound capabilities, imposed by the conscious use of the respiratory organs and muscles. The most characteristic technique consists in circular breathing, which allows you to maintain a continuous flow of air so as not to interrupt the sound while breathing.

The Workshop consists of a theoretical introduction about the origins of the Didgeridoo, followed by an essentially practical component, dedicated to the development of the 5 basic techniques using rhythmic and breathing exercises. There is also time to approach the concepts of vibrational therapy and circular breathing.

Target audience: from 5 years old.

Duration: 90 minutes

Taught by Miguel “Maat” Sereno – Multi-instrumentalist Musician, project coordinator of Relax’Vibr’ation – Didgeridoo Therapy.

Conditions: Instruments made in PVC will be available to participants. Who possess an instrument and wish to attend the event may take your own didgeridoo.

Enrollment limited to 18 participants.
